Philosophy

Buona Terra is a modern Italian restaurant shaped by a deep respect for ingredients and seasonality.

Our cooking comes from Italian culinary culture, yet remains open and contemporary, guided by clarity of flavour and balance.

Each ingredient is treated with intention and respect, allowing it to speak clearly on the plate.

Buona Terra is about simplicity, detail, and a quiet sense of ease.

The Restaurant

Set within a conserved black-and-white bungalow, Buona Terra offers an intimate and residential dining environment.

The main dining room features ten tables, welcoming up to thirty guests, while three private rooms are available for larger groups and special occasions, accommodating up to fourteen guests.

Surrounded by greenery and complemented by a generous on-site car park, the restaurant provides a sense of calm and ease from the moment guests arrive. The space is refined yet relaxed, designed to feel welcoming rather than formal — a place where guests can feel comfortable and at home.

Service

Hospitality at Buona Terra is warm, professional, and personal, inspired by the Italian tradition of ospitalità.

Our service team guides guests through the experience with care and attention to detail, while remaining discreet and unobtrusive.

The rhythm of the meal is calm and unhurried, leaving space for conversation, comfort, and time at the table. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, allowing the food, the wine, and the company to take centre stage.

Wine

Wine is an essential part of the experience at Buona Terra.

The list is built around a deep and carefully curated selection of Italian wines, complemented by a focused collection of Burgundy and other international bottles chosen to follow the food rather than lead it.

Since 2024, Buona Terra has been a proud Krug Ambassade, reflecting a shared respect for craftsmanship, time, and precision.

The Chef

Originally from a small town on Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia, Chef Denis has led Buona Terra since 2012.

His cooking is rooted in Italian culinary culture, guided by clarity of flavour, balance, and care. The ingredient remains central, approached with precision and a natural sense of measure, without excess or formality.

For Chef Denis, cooking is not about statement or performance, but about consistency, detail, and respect, as reflected in both his cooking and the experience at Buona Terra.
